Parkrun Posters is an on-going project.

Parkrun is a timed 5k run that takes place in various parts of the UK and the rest of the world. It was founded by Paul Sinton-Hewitt in 2004 at Bushey Park, South-West London.

I’ve been running at Parkrun on and off for the past 10 years and my home parkrun is the challenging and hilly Parkrun in Gedling, Nottingham.

My aim is to create a poster for every Parkrun I participate in. This will include difficulties of the course and overall standard of the Parkrun. I’ll be uploading my progress on here, TikTok and Instagram under the handle of itsdamiangraham

Gedling Parkrun - Nottingham

Gedling Parkrun is one of the most challenging parkruns throughout Nottinghamshire.

It has two steep climbs however, you are rewarded by incredible views overlooking Gedling Village and Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire borders on a very clear day.

Albert Park Parkrun - Melbourne, Australia

That’s right, Melbourne - Australia!

In January 2024, I was fortunate to visit both Melbourne and Sydney, Australia. Whilst I was there I attended the prestigious Australian Open Tennis tournament and participated in Albert Park Parkrun.

Albert Park Parkrun is a flat one looped course around the lake. It’s also host to the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix.

Due to the attendees of the Australian Open Tennis tournament, we inadvertently broke the all-time record for runners attending a parkrun in Australia - 1090 Runners

Wollaton Hall - Nottingham

Better known as the Batman Parkrun!

Wollaton Hall was used as Wayne Manor for the Christopher Nolan film, The Dark Knight Rises that stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy and Morgan Freeman

It’s a beautiful parkrun that has out and back loop that features deer and a lake.

Rushcliffe - Nottingham

Rushcliffe Parkrun takes place within the Rushcliffe Country Park in the small southern Nottingham village of Ruddington.

For rail enthusiasts, it has a heritage railway.

It’s a two lap circuit flat circut

Rother Valley - Sheffield

Another one loop 5K circuit around one of the lakes.

A beautiful country park on the outskirts of Sheffield, that features a water park used for an aqua obstacle course and water skiing!

Holyrood Park - Edinburgh, Scotland

Probably the most scenic and beautiful parkruns I've participated in. It’s a 5K one lap loop around the park below the famous Arthur’s Seat, an extinct volcano at the highest point.
